Knowledge-Rich Curriculum

At CTK, we believe children learn best when learning is active, meaningful, and connected to real life. Our Knowledge-Rich Curriculum encourages students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and build a deep understanding of the world around them.

What Is a Knowledge-Rich Curriculum? It is a student-centered way of learning that builds curiosity, problem-solving, and a love for learning. We start with what students already know and help them discover new ideas.

Students learn to:

  • Ask Questions: Wonder about how things work and why.
  • Investigate Topics: Explore subjects deeply through research and hands-on activities.
  • Work Together: Collaborate with classmates and teachers to solve problems.
  • Share Their Learning: Present their work and reflect on what they have learned.

Guided by the Victorian Curriculum Our units are carefully planned using the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. Every topic connects key learning areas, including:

  • Science: Exploring nature, space, and how things work.
  • Humanities: Learning about History, Geography, and how societies work.
  • Health & Technologies: Building healthy habits and digital skills.

How Teachers Support Students Our teachers act as guides, coaches, and facilitators. They explain new ideas step-by-step, ask thought-provoking questions, and teach students the exact research and thinking skills they need to succeed.
